Have you written a book, but youŐre not sure if itŐs ready to send to a publisher?

Do you need advice on which publishers may be interested in your manuscript?

Are you finding it hard to get past the Ňslush pileÓ?

A manuscript appraisal by a qualified, experienced childrenŐs literature specialist can help new authors develop their manuscripts to publishable standards.

Unsolicited manuscripts are frequently overlooked by publishers, but those accompanied by a professional assessment have a better chance of being read.

Your assessor

Judith Ridge has been a childrenŐs editor for ABC Books, the NSW School Magazine and Halstead Press. She has over ten yearsŐ experience in assessing and editing stories for children and young adults, and reviews childrenŐs books for The Age, Australian Book Review, The Horn Book (USA), Viewpoint: On Books for Young Adults and Magpies.

Judith has worked with published and unpublished authors to produce books which have subsequently gone on to successful publication. She is well regarded in the childrenŐs publishing industry, and an assessment from her will give your manuscript an advantage over the hundreds of unsolicited, unappraised mss received by publishers every month.
