Australian Tour - Anthony Horowitz

Walker Books Australia hosted an informal farewell drinks for Anthony Horowitz at the Rose of Australia Hotel in Erskineville in Sydney's inner west. Anthony had been in Australia and New Zealand for a month, touring bookshops, schools and speaking at the Children's Book Council/Library Association Conference in Hobart, Tasmania. Reports from around the country were glowing about Anthony's success with young readers.

It was a pleasure to meet Anthony, who was charming and friendly. I have a particular fondness for his early books such as Granny and Groosham Grange. Despite missing his family, Anthony said he'd had a wonderful time in the Antipodes. Before returning home, he was off for a week scuba diving in the far north of Queensland.
